Active Installers Persons who will be constructing, installing, altering, extending or repairing a subsurface sewage disposal systems are required to have a valid permit (see Rule 0400-48-01-.19 ). We had to start excavating prior to getting a septic permit in order to determine where we are even going to have the best building site.
